Fireside Chat with Dr. Riordan Roett

In a year that will see presidential elections in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico, the Summit of the Americas and the first-ever G-20 summit in South America, come hear Dr. Roett reflect on his 45 years as a leading scholar of Latin American politics and economics, as he discusses changes he has observed and offers insights into the future of this dynamic region. Through personal friendships with presidents and foreign ministers, Dr. Roett has had a front-row seat to the region's dramatic ups and downs, from debt crises to commodity booms, socialist experiments to neoliberal swings, dictatorships to democratic transitions.
